Mushroom Cultivation-Optimized Hardwood Pellets

Our hardwood pellets are the perfect foundation for your mushroom cultivation! Produced in Eden, NSW, these pellets are made from 100% local hardwood waste fibre, sourced from sawmill and joinery manufacturing operations.


The wood species used in our pellets can vary, but predominantly includes Brownbarrel, Shining Gum, Yellow Stringbark, and Ironbark. The fibres are hammermilled and screened to ensure optimum surface area to volume ratio, enhancing absorption when water is added.


During the manufacturing process, a small amount of vegetable oil (<0.5% by weight) is used as an extrusion lubricant. The finished pellets have a moisture content of 9-10% and are approximately 6mm in diameter with lengths typically between 10-40mm.


Our hardwood pellets are produced at temperatures over 85°C, which helps to kill any bacteria present in the fibre, resulting in a product that supports the growth of disease-free mushrooms.


The pellets should be stored in a cool, dry place and elevated off the ground to avoid moisture absorption. With year-round production, we ensure a consistent supply of hardwood pellets for your mushroom growing needs.

Tracking Your Order

Damage during transit

For any items damaged during transit please contact us with in 5 days with photos so we can arrange immediate refund or replacement.


Cancellation

Cancellation is accepted until we have posted your items. Please contact us ASAP if you wish to cancel your order.

Thankyou for your purchase. I hope you're happy with your purchase. However, if you are not satisfied with your purchase for any reason, you can return for a full or partial refund or exchange.

Returns
All returns must be postmarked within 14 days. The mushroom kits are “alive” and must be returned ASAP, so they do not die and can be reused by growing the mushrooms ourselves. The box can be opened however, the kit must be unused and returned with all contents.

Return Process
To return an item please email me at brett@thatmushroomguy.com.au to get our return address. Sometimes we may not require the return but may ask for photos of the issue. If the return is for a change of mind, you will be responsible for the cost of postage, and we ask that you use postage with tracking please.

Refund
After we have received your return or photos and inspected it, we will immediately process your refund, please allow up to 7 days for the processing time.
